🧡 Quarter 3 Has Begun — Our Phoenix Are Ready to SOAR! 🧡
Quarter 3 is officially underway, and we are excited to see our Phoenix continue to SOAR! This is an important stretch of the school year where growth, commitment, and strong partnerships make all the difference.
We warmly invite parents and families to join our School Advisory Council (SAC) meetings to stay informed about where our students are, how we are addressing their needs, and what our goals are for the year. An educational partnership between school and families is key to student success, and your involvement truly matters.
We hope all of our students are receiving positive pep talks and motivation each morning as they prepare for a full day of learning. Students who arrive on time maximize their learning opportunities and set the tone for a successful day!
📚 Reading Matters!
Reading with your student for 30–45 minutes each night can change the trajectory of their educational journey.
👉 How many minutes is your student reading each day?
🔢 Got Math Facts?
Practice foundation skills nightly—addition, subtraction, and multiplication. These essential skills help our students build confidence and SOAR in math.
💬 Start the Conversation
Ask your student:
- What did you learn today?
- What do you want to learn more about?
- What is your favorite subject and why?
(Hint: Recess is not a subject 😉)
Thank you for all you do to support learning at home and for partnering with us to help your child thrive at the Ridge. We are ready for Quarter 3—are you?

Together, we rise.

Assistant Principal's Message

Hello Phoenix Family!
I’m Ms. Ana Maria Gonzalez, your Assistant Principal, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to another exciting school year at Flora Ridge! With 19 years in education—seven of those right here at Flora Ridge—I’m proud to be part of a school community that values inclusivity, growth, and excellence.
At Flora Ridge, we’ve built a nurturing environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As we begin this new school year, my goal is to continue supporting our staff, students, and families in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space where ALL students can soar.
We believe every student has the potential to succeed, and we encourage active participation in the many opportunities available—from academic programs like AVID Ambassadors, NJHS, and Battle of the Books, to extracurricular activities such as track, soccer, and safety patrol. We want every student to strive for their personal best and feel a strong sense of belonging.
Parents, your involvement is key to our success. We value your partnership and look forward to working together to support your child’s educational journey.
Let’s make this the best year yet—filled with learning, growth, and unforgettable memories. I’m excited for all the adventures ahead!
