Dear Parents,

As we wrap up the end of the first semester, I want to wish everyone a happy holiday break. We hope that you take time out of your busy schedules to spend with family and friends. We would like to thank everyone for their support over the first half of the year and are pleased with the success of our students thus far.

As we move into the second semester, it will be very important to keep an eye on the school calendar and website for important upcoming events. March and April are especially busy with testing and we want your student to perform their very best. We will be providing you and your student important tips so that you can help them to be successful.

While there isn’t any state testing for grades K-2, the instruction for these students has just as great an impact on the school and student learning. At Flora Ridge Elementary, we pride ourselves on being a learning community where ALL staff and students are part of the process. Your student can only take advantage of the quality instruction that their teacher is providing if they are in school.

We look forward to your continued support and involvement during the second half of the school year. We will see you back at school on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

Peter Hodges
